Building off the momentum from 2014-2015, the second year of the reformed Student Council consolidated and added on to last year's achievements.
Many students called for an athletics house competition, and so Student Council hosted an inclusive dodgeball competition after school.
Social Media Challenges
Social media challenges were brought back and many students joined in the fun, earning many house points along the way.
Student Council expanded to new social media, notably LINE and Instagram. This has allowed students to receive news more easily and directly. It has also allowed students to interact more frequently with Student Council members, giving them more ease to relay their thoughts and concerns about the school directly to the senior members of the Student Council.
Student Council put a focus on addressing student life issues and cooperated regularly with the Students, Events and Activities (SEA) department to bring up issues students were having around the school. In particular, Student Council helped to relay student thoughts about the cafeteria.
One of the cornerstones of SC 2015-2016's achievements was establishing KIS Today, the one and only student-run online school magazine. Since its launch in late 2015, it has become a daily feature in many students' schedule, and has become a one-stop source for all news about KIS.
KIS' GOT TALENT
KIS' Got Talent was a successful competition that allowed many students to showcase their talents to the entire school. Under the motto 'Show us what you got!', dancers, singers, speakers and even cooks came up to show the world their unique skills.
Student Council fundraised for a variety of causes, such as veterans in Thailand and breast cancer awareness.
Student Council joined the Thailand International School Student Committee.
"LOVE" Writing Competition
A writing competition based around the theme "Love" was hosted. Budding writers from all across grade levels joined.
